LIVING THE 4 VITAL BEHAVIORS

Every business has a foundation of activity that functions as a compass to continually keep the focus pointed towards progress. After watching the behavior of the most successful coaches for over ten years, we discovered a common thread. They all practiced four vital behaviors to keep them centered on what matters most.

Whether you are just getting started, or you have a large international team, you will want to set a course to incorporate these vital behaviors into your life. Regardless of your current vision for what’s possible in your coaching business, this personal practice alone will change your life forever. So this is how the future of your new role as a coach begins!

#1: BE PROOF THE PRODUCT WORKS

The one thing that will make the biggest difference in your work as a coach is
authenticity. People around you will be most inspired by what you do, rather than what you say. That doesn’t mean you have to be in perfect shape, or that you should wait until you’re at your ideal weight. Two weeks of focusing on your fitness, nutrition and positive mindset and you will discover that people around you will notice and be curious. In a world full of hype and exaggerated promises, effort and results give people true hope. Your first vital behavior is to use the products you enjoy and be committed to become proof that the products work.

#2: INVITE, INVITE, INVITE

Why would we encourage this so much that we repeat it 3 times? Because we can’t make a difference if we all do this alone. The entire Team Beachbody community was founded on the idea that buddies make us all better. As a coach you will find yourself listening and paying more attention to the people around you who are struggling with their health and fitness. You will also be encouraged to host fun support groups to help people get better results. You may have local fit clubs, online challenge groups, or even connect people through our mobile app for support. The heart of our outreach to help people happens when we invite them to join us. Consider “inviting” to be a core activity of every coach, without it we wouldn’t be expanding our reach and finding people we can help.

#3: RECOGNIZE, APPRECIATE & PRAISE

We celebrate and reinforce every meaningful achievement that leads to results. That includes the effort we see along the way. Working with people to enhance their lives has lead us to know and understand the power of encouragement. The world simply doesn’t acknowledge, appreciate, or praise people for what they bring to our lives. So we, as coaches, make a big deal out of noticing, acknowledging, appreciating and praising human effort. Not just results, but the effort, the struggle, and the spirit it takes to be better every day. It’s honestly one of the best things a coach does for themselves and for the people around them.

#4: COMMIT TO PERSONAL GROWTH

Early on we discovered that most profound benefit of weight loss, might not actually be the change that happens with your body. Even though that’s the main reason people decide to make a change. The deeper life changing benefit that comes from what we offer as coaches, is the transformation of mindset once someone starts believing in themselves. This is why every coach is so strongly committed to their own personal growth plan. Whether it’s listening to a podcast, learning a new skill, reading an inspirational book, or attending a seminar; we thrive when we grow. What’s also true is we share what we learn and become better coaches along the way. Personal growth isn’t something we do in the time we have left over- It’s something we integrate into our everyday lives.
