DUPLICATION

Every business has a system. A way of doing what needs to be done to serve their customer. Our business thrives on the systems we create that bring results to the people who use them. This is true for our customers, and it’s true for our coaches. Customers get results when they duplicate a system for healthy living that includes moving their body, feeding their body, and staying consistent with healthy habits every day.  That’s ultimately what we deliver to them as coaches.

Coaches get results when they duplicate a system for building their business, both in how they acquire and serve their customers; and how they sponsor and develop their team of coaches. It’s often said, “It doesn't matter what works for you, it only matters if you can duplicate it." One of my favorite books that speaks to this point is, The E Myth by Michael Gerber. In his book he works with an entrepreneur who at the time, has grown to hate her business. She’s burnt out because she has to do everything herself.  She hadn’t created a system that could be duplicated easily by her team, but once she learns how, her business grows and thrives with ease. This is what we want for you! Please take a few minutes to watch Eric Worre's message about duplication by clicking play on the video. He offers some great advice.

A common trap that Coaches fall into is creating a way of doing the business that others can’t do. They may be a rock star social media guru…but their team can’t find the same success that they have. They may be a super star certified master trainer, but their team doesn’t have the time or desire to teach live classes at night.  So our best advice when it comes to duplication is ask yourself, can what I’m doing in my business be learned, taught, and duplicated through my entire team? If not…don’t do it!  Being the rock star achiever might feel good, until you discover you are out there on your own pulling the wagon by yourself.

LET'S LOOK AT SOME OPPORTUNITIES where you CAN APPLY duplication WITHIN your OWN team:

  • The Customer Experience:  How does your team appreciate their customers?  Do they know how to help a customer find buddies for support, which become referrals?  Do they have a customer VIP group to provide added value? Think about the experience you want your customers to have and make that a part of your team system.
  • The Coach Enrollment Experience:  How do you introduce the idea of Coaching in your team?  Can your coaches tell the Beachbody Coaching story?  Can they share their own story? Do they know how to invite to a sneak peek?
  • Coach Onboarding:  Think about the experience you want a new coach to have from the moment they enroll.  How do you welcome them?  What questions do you cover when you have your first welcome conversation?  What tasks do you give them in their first week?  Do you use the Coach University for their basic training program.?
  • The 500+ PV Coach:  How do you help them create a customer base that keeps them engaged and enjoying their work as a coach?  Do you use a business activity tracker or some way of measuring their first steps?  Do you recognize them as they reach small milestones?
  • You Plus Two:  This is the heart of our team building.  Becoming an emerald coach and building a "you + two model".  Our first goals when building a team are, “Get to Emerald, and build Emeralds”!  This model of teaching your 500+ PV Coach to build a you plus two model to step up to emerald coach fuels a powerful team growth plan.

These are just a few ideas around the power of duplication.  In this lesson we want you to learn and adopt a mindset of teaching and empowering others to thrive, especially the newest coach on your team.   We hope you understand the value in keeping things simple to do, and easy to teach.

One last note on duplication:  Using a system that people can follow doesn’t mean you lose your creativity or individuality.  It’s very important that every coach has the freedom to use their unique talents, interests, and abilities to keep coaching fun.  When you have the basics of coaching (like the coach university) in place, everyone gets to do what they love with ease.

The assignment for this lesson is to share something you’ve learned from your coach that you have used or duplicated when training your team, or if you're a brand new coach, what are some takeaways that you plan to duplicate when growing your team?
